Chairperson's Message

Education is a dynamic process that demands inclusiveness and participation of teachers, educationists, parents, students and associations. It is our wish to reach all the stakeholders. Though this website highlights the activities of J&K State BOSE, I believe it would also serve as a platform for feedback. I am happy to inform that the website will provide a space to deliberate upon vital issues of youth-the torch bearers of our future generation.

Quality has become the defining element in the sector of education. The expectations of our students have risen up. All this calls for a paradigm shift in our approach and attitude. Inertia needs a golden handshake to pave way for dynamism. Restructuring of academic courses, modernization of technology and strengthening of physical infrastructure has become imperative. Innovative planning and benchmarking of various activities should form the mainstay of our approach. BOSE has been rendering service to the society by mainly conducting examinations, publishing results, granting diplomas or certificates and preparing and prescribing the courses of instruction and developing textbooks from Class 1 to 12. Discharging such duties demands a great sense of involvement and responsibility. It has been the endeavour of the BOSE to involve maximum number of stakeholders in order to make the process of examinations and other activities transparent and student friendly. When I took over as the Secretary BOSE, Kashmir had recently been devastated by the floods. The Bemina campus of BOSE was inundated and the entire system was thrown out of gear. The job at hand was challenging and no less than starting from the scratch as there was chaos all around. With dedicated and untiring work we have been able to reset the whole system and most of our operations are now coming back on track for which I am grateful to one and all who worked day in and day out in streamlining the system. Making the examination system better and bringing it on a par with the national and international standards is a continuing process and we are confident to achieve the goal. Though nothing is perfect, my endeavour would be to work for the betterment of this organisation.
