How does the institution organize the extension activities? |
Extension
activities are organized by NSS, Adult and Continuing
Education department, Sports and physical education
department. NSS camps are organized in different and
remote areas of the district by NSS unit of the
University. Affiliated colleges also organize NSS camps
in their respective localities. The students interact
with the rural folk with the mission of spreading
literacy. A number of other social and sanitory advice
is provided to rural men and women by the students.
Recently, Yoga and Naturopathy camps were organised by
Adult and Continuing Education department which was
participated by faculty and students of the University
as well as local institutions.

A number of
research projects sponsored by many funding agencies,
have been undertaken by different departments such as
Institute of Engineering and Technology, Institute of
Business Management and the Department of Life Sciences.
Besides, University has been a pioneer in organizing
zonal games and sports meets, book exhibitions, kavi
sammelan and mushairas, van mahotsava (Tree plantation)
and in developing medicinal plants garden. Apart from
that, training and workshop in Yoga and Prakritik
Chikitsa was organised for 10 days. Different camps
were also organised for health care, dental care,
physical fitness and physical efficiency dirve.
