The purpose of this institute is to provide quality education in the field of fine arts i.e. painting, Music and Dance along with different type of extra-curricular activities, seminar, exhibition, project to make it career oriented. |

The major focus of this department is to give theoretical and practical knowledge on fine arts (Drawing and painting). The department have a plan of action to organize exhibitions, demonstrations, conferences, seminars and research programme. The department have full academic and administrative autonomy and partial financial autonomy. |
|
By demonstration and correction of the work the students’ academic standing is accessed. The major thrust areas within the subject in which research activities are being actively pursued are British period since 17th , 18th and 19th century. Board of Studies, Academic Council and Executive Council body helps in the formulation and implementation of new academic programmes. Whenever needed the curricula of these programmes are reviewed and revised. Sometimes in the practical workshop and some times outside for landscape painting are the provisions made for practical training in those areas of studies that do not require formal laboratory facilities.4 hours per day is the average time spent by a teacher with students .Teachers update their classroom through seminars, workshops, latest journals and demonstrations. |
